Did You Have Morning Sickness and Cravings?

Sharing is caring!

Morning sickness was bad for me with each of my pregnancies.

With my oldest, the smell of the grocery store made me so sick. This lasted through my entire pregnancy. I literally turned ghost white once in my first trimester with him, hunched over the cart just praying the cashier would get me through the line as fast as possible.

The minute I walked through the doors of the store I could smell the butcher area. My sense of smell was hyper sensitive!

With the twins my morning sickness started at 6 weeks and was pretty bad until the mid-point of my pregnancy.

I took vitamin B, I tried everything ginger flavored…. I threw up driving down the road once. It was awful.

I did find that if I could eat protein as soon as I got out of bed, I could handle the first onset easier. And, if I could avoid getting hungry, the sickness was easier. Once I was hungry I would get sick. It’s like we spend each pregnancy trying to break the morning sickness code.

And then with Matthew I was sick until the very end.

And why do they call it morning sickness? If you were like me, it hit every time of the day. That gets so frustrating.

And the cravings…. I craved orange juice and Malto Meal. I could never get enough. I believe our bodies crave what it needs- and both of those are high in folic acid.

During my pregnancies there really did not seem to be much on the market for morning sickness. I am willing to bet these lozenges with folic acid would have been something that could have helped me. Have you ever tried them? I love that this is a drug free approach! You can find these at CVS. (Make sure you’re following SeaBand on Facebook because they share offers and giveaways over there that you will want at your fingertips through your pregnancy!)
