Crockpot Hot Chocolate Recipe

Cold weather is here and warming up in the evenings is what we all want to do, right?

I am so excited to share this super easy crockpot hot chocolate recipe with you guys.

We love to keep some offer best hot chocolate recipes under out belt this time of year!

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups of your favorite chocolate milk
  • 1.5  T unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 6 oz semisweet chocolate chips
  • chocolate whipped cream
  • fresh chocolate shavings, optional

 

Step-by-Step Instructions:

In a slow cooker combine the chocloate milk and the cocoa powder.

Use a whisk to combine well. It takes a bit of stirring to mix that cocoa powder in really well.

Then add the chocolate chips.

Stir with a spoon and pop a lid on the crockpot.

Let it cook on low for 2 hours.

When that time is up, take the lid off and whisk again to mix everything up.

It’s amazing. Reminds me of Starbucks hot chocolate. Thick REAL chocolate in there!

Prepare your chocolate whipped cream. Amazing addition for any chocolate lover.

Or, just use regular whipped cream. Your choice.

    1. This makes 10-12 servings, but you’re not going to be abe to double it in one slow cooker. Too much liquid. You will just need to run two separate slow cookers.

  8. I always forget the whipped cream! My kids love my homemade hot chocolate on the stovetop but this is a great way to have the hot chocolate on hand without worrying about scalding the milk.
