Cleaning Hacks to Get Ready for Christmas

Sharing is caring!

This year has seriously just gone by in a flash. How did that happen so fast?

It seems like once Halloween happens the next day is Thanksgiving. Then the next day is Christmas and then it’s on to making New Years Resolutions …. then we start all over again. The quickness of the holiday season every year just seems to go faster. Don’t you think?

Of course, with holidays come prepping. Baking and shopping lists combine with daily tasks and the long list of to-dos that plague my monthly calendar. The list is truly never ending especially during the holiday season. Christmas is fast approaching and I can’t tell you how long my list is. I mean the excitement is literally overwhelming. We all love this time of year for sure! So before you have loads of family over, you have to become a little more organized!

Are you preparing for a big holiday gathering? If so, you must follow this go to guide for holiday preparation that will ease your mind and keep you focused on just what the season is all about!

Christmas Cleaning Prep Checklist:

1. Make a list. This is a necessity. You have to have a starting point and a way to keep things in order. Prioritize your time so that everything is accomplished and you are not in a rush.

2. Your kitchen is a command center for your family gathering. Be sure you are ready! This includes breaking out any extra chairs and tables your family can use, and clearing out the clutter in your kitchen. Consider a coffee bar or hot cocoa station to keep guests occupied and out from under your feet!

3. Organize, organize, organize! You will be spending a lot of time in the kitchen. Declutter your pantry and baking items to make for easy access while whipping up all of your delicious holiday meals.

4. Make sure you have lots of sleeping space available for your guests. Sometimes I like to plan it out ahead of time so that I figure the space for every guest. Making room for kids and other relatives can be a chore at the last minute!

5. Create a space in the bathroom! With guests comes a ton of bathroom traffic so make some space. If this means clearing off some counter space for extra toiletries then get the job done before your guests arrive so they have ample space!

6. Decorate! Don’t wait until the last minute to set the mood of the holiday in your home. Break out the Christmas decor, candles, and any other decorative tradition you have for the holidays. Consider these Paper Napkin Flowers on your place settings. They are perfect for Christmas!

5. Clean up! This is gonna mean a deep clean, kinda like that spring cleaning I know you all do every year! Prepare to wipe down cabinets, blinds, and straighten up areas of your home that otherwise don’t always get the clean up attention.

6. Prepare your holiday menu. Anything you plan on cooking needs to be decided. Cook anything ahead of time that can be frozen and prepare your pantry and refrigerator for all of the necessary ingredients.

7. Stock up on paper goods, toilet paper, and Bounty Paper Towels this holiday season. Bounty helps you get through the holidays without a hitch, so you can enjoy every minute without a worry over the mess! Bounty Paper Towels are a must have for surviving the holiday season. They are 2x more absorbent and they can last up to 50% longer than ordinary paper towels. We all know that with holidays come messes and this Quicker Picker Upper ensures the job is done without a headache and you can keep enjoying the family time of the holidays!

What are your tips for making it through the holidays?
