Doghouse Popsicle Stick Craft For Preschoolers

Sharing is caring!

Learning all about letter /Dd/ is so much fun especially when fun crafts are involved! This D is for dog craft is a perfect addition to your letter of the week learning and a sweet project your kiddos can make super easy!

Check out this popsicle stick doghouse!

You will need:

  • 1 sheet of brown construction paper
  • 1 sheet of black construction paper
  • 7 large popsicle sticks
  • paint
  • paintbrush
  • glue
  • scissors
  • markers or crayons of your choice

First begin by aligning 6 of your popsicle sticks to make a square. Then take a dot of glue and attach your last popsicle stick diagonally from top to bottom to hold then all together. We used large popsicle sticks for the entire project but your could certainly use the smaller ones on the back for holding the craft together.

Next your little one can paint the front of the popsicle sticks with the color of their choosing. We just decided to stick with brown.

Cut a large triangle from the brown construction paper to make a roof for your doghouse and attach it to the top with glue. Then take the black construction paper to make a door for your doghouse.

Now you could get creative and deck out the doghouse with jewels or just some design with markers and crayons. No doghouse is complete without a dog!
