Over 20 Leaf Activities for Young Learners

Sharing is caring!

Fall is here and what better way to celebrate than to enjoy some fun leaf activities for kids!?

We are so excited for crisp weather, changing colors of the leaves and walks outside. We’ve already started reading books about Fall.

I have made this list of activities that I can do with my boys over the next few weeks while we homeschool, but I thought you would love them too! We can’t wait to do the leaf rubbing (I just found some flat crayon blocks for this) and the leaf identification cards. You will find us at the walking trails here in our town going on a leaf hunt!

We are going to have such a great time learning and exploring together.

Carrot Fingers Appetizer or Snack. Buy some fresh carrots. Cut them into finger sizes starting with the tip end. Use the fat ends for other recipes. Put peanut butter on the nail bed, and use the peanut butter to glue red apple peel that you have cut and shaped into a fingernail. This is a healthy snack for kids, and they love the gore! You can substitute honey for the Peanut Butter.

  6. Hi Crystal! Thanks for sharing these ideas. We did a fall leaf spray paint project to hang up in my daughter’s room and it was a blast! I was a little dumb and left the spray paint out so now I currently have a multicolored carpet in my front room haha luckily I was having a carpet cleaner come out anyway so no harm really and I really had a blast doing this with my family! Can’t wait to try some of your other ideas/projects.

  7. Fall is just starting to leave its mark where we live, so for Thanksgiving, we are going to have all of the little kiddos complete some of these leaf activities. They look like so much fun!
