Don’t miss a chance to make memories!

Sharing is caring!

Summer time has a label on it for family vacations. It is almost like once we all make it to summer we are allowed to unwind or a break from what the rest of the year holds in routine. Like a recharge time and connect time for parents and kids.

I don’t know about you but it is so easy to get caught up in the routine that the work week has that I often find myself short on time for fun. Then when the summer comes it is time for relaxation! Taking a vacation with your children may seem like a stressful time. there is the packing and the coordinating. With scheduling things to do and places to go.

Believe it or not there are some amazing benefits to taking vacations with your children. Family vacations are wonderful memories made and experiences that toys and such can not even compare to. Aside from that there are a lot of emotional benefits that come from traveling when your kids are young. It gives parents time for attachment building and bonding. During the work week we are caught up in deadlines, baseball practices, and just overall stress. With family travel time the focus of things is much different. It is all about family time and connecting with one another while making a special memory. It is truly a crucial time to travel when your children are young. When you are building a relationship with your children

So it definitely gives more time for play and an advantage to be an active listener to your child. Engaging with them by exploring and learning and taking in your surroundings is such an amazing thing. It is a time for enrichment. It doesn’t matter where you go or what you do on your travel adventures as long as you know that the time for building closeness starts now!

A few years ago we took a family trip to the beach. The excitement surrounding getting ready for the trip and counting down the days was the topic of every single conversation leading up to pulling out of the driveway. Once we made it to our vacation hot spot we took advantage of every moment. We built sandcastles and were silly. We shared laughs and focused on rejuvenating our family by making it the best experience for our little guys. Honestly 2 years later my kids are still talking about it. These are the moments that last a lifetime!
