Weekly Meal Plan Ideas (Week 217)

Sharing is caring!

I have really failed at sharing my meal plan this last year. Epic fail, really!

For years I shared it every Monday.

I have had readers and family reach out to me and tell me how much they miss me posting about our dinner plan for the week. It is my goal to share every week again. It helps me be accountable and save in the grocery  store. And apparently I am helping you… which I love!!

That said, it is in the 20’s and 30’s this week in North Texas. We are eating lots of soup and lots of comfort foods at our house. While I am not a huge fan of the winter season, it is fun at first…. until you get miserable.

At least the food is yummy. lol

Here is what’s in our menu this week.

Weekly Meal Plan Ideas

Crockpot =Chicken and Noodles–  love this comfort food meal! Served with a veggie and dinner salad.

Pasta Spinach Meatball Soup this was awesome!! Strain the liquid for little kids and it is like a pasta casserole.

Mexican Chicken Lime Soup– my husband loved this. I really liked it too but something happened with the cumin. It made the soup gritty. Or I think it was the cumin. Weird. Has this ever happened to you? My husband did not notice it- it all settled to the bottom of the pot, but every time I scooped a bowl it could tell. I drained it and it was just the spices… maybe it was the oregano? No clue. Am I alone here?

Hamburger Soup– served with cornbread. Filling and amazing! (This is what we’re having tonight! I shared the recipe last month over on Kids Activities Blog!)

Chicken Veggie Soup– the recipe calls for meatballs, but I am going to use chicken since we already had meatballs.

Leftover Buffet– use ’em up.
