Buttermilk Pancakes

This recipe includes items you likely already have on hand, with the exception of buttermilk. Grab a quart the next time you’re at the grocery store.

INGREDIENTS:

– flour – eggs – buttermilk – baking soda – baking powder – butter – vanilla

Put all of your dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Add in all the the wet ingredients and whisk until well combined and there are no clumps.

For pancakes I like to use a small soup ladle to pour the batter onto the griddle.

I keep the heat between 4 and 5, and I add a pat of butter to the griddle before adding the batter.

They are not ready to turn until the top of the pancake is covered in bubbles.

Flip it to cook the other side. Limit the flipping, don't flip the pancakes 100 times.
