Cook up your bacon. Save some of the bacon drippings/grease for the cupcake batter.
Mix together your butter, bacon drippings, bacon pieces, brown sugar, maple syrup, and egg. Combine well.
Mix the dry ingredients then add the flour mixture to the batter. Once combined well, add half milk and mix.
Add batter to lined cupcake tins. Pop them in the oven and bake. Once done, let them cool.
Mix the butter and maple sugar together on a high speed until well combined. Add the powdered sugar and mix again until creamy smooth.
Pipe icing onto each cupcake. Sprinkle some sea salt and raw turbinado sugar and add a small piece of bacon on top.
