I love the stories music tells. Music identifies different seasons of my life.
I have been a longtime fan of Tennessee native Kenny Chesney. One of my favorite songs is Back Where I Come From. It reminds me of the hometown aspects of growing up in the county. (And that is where my love for small towns ends, sorry folks. I much prefer the city and small town gossip drove me crazy as a teenager and early adult.)
Chesney is an amazing story-teller and that is one thing I love about country music. He recently announced 27 new dates for his 2013 ‘No Shoes Nation’ Tour, making it one of the year’s biggest tours and Dallas is one of those stops on May 11th!
And guess who he is bringing with him? The Eric Church (LOVE HIM!!!!!). Springsteen is my favorite song of his. The naivety of young love. I could listen to this song 1,000 times!
Chesney also has the Eli Young Band with him. I am telling ya, I love this music lineup! These guys are from right here in Texas- Denton to be exact. They started their band while they were students at North Texas. They have made it big and my favorite songs of theirs are Crazy Girl and Even if it Breaks Your Heart. Me and my little Nicky sing Even if it Breaks Your Heart at the top of our lungs in the car.
And…. have you heard newer artist Kacey Musgraves? Her song Merry Go Round paints the best picture of life in a small town. And this mama grew up in a trailer park…. so there ya go. This song is beautiful story telling about struggles. Love, love, love it!

I am just excited to see him, I saw him once with my dad a long time back but we had terrible seats and this super rude drunk guy in front of us. I thought my dad was gonna knock the guy out ! I hope to see Kenny Chesney again now ! 🙂 I love his music as well as who else is on tour with him !
