Oh my goodness gracious alive. I am so excited to share this homemade, sweet and tangy ice cream sauce with you. It is out of this world!
You make it using frozen raspberries and just a few other ingredients. You actually make it in the microwave.

Ingredients:
- 3 c frozen raspberries
- 3/4 c brown sugar
- 3-4 drops lemon essential oil
In a 2 quart, microwave safe bowl, add 2 cups of the frozen raspberries, the sugar and the lemon oil drops.
Pop it in the microwave, on high, for 8 minutes.
Stop and stir halfway through and then add it back into the microwave for the remaining time.
Once done, carefully remove from the microwave and add the remaining 1 cup of frozen raspberries. Stir to combine well and let it cool.
Once it cools, you’re ready for the ice cream! Look at how amazing this looks!

Homemade Raspberry Sauce for Ice Cream
This homemade raspberry sauce for ice cream is an amazing ice cream topper and uses just 3 ingredients to make.
Ingredients
- 3 c frozen raspberries
- 3/4 c brown sugar
- 3-4 drops lemon essential oil
Instructions
- Add 2 cups of frozen raspberries, lemon essential oil drops, and sugar to a medium sized microwave safe bowl.
- Microwave for 4 minutes and stir well.
- Microwave for another 4 minutes
- Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and add the remaining cup of frozen raspberries.
- Allow the mixture to cool completely before topping to ice cream.
