  2. These are great! But what age do you recommend letting kids play with one of these? Mine is still too little, but I wonder what age is appropriate– toddler aged or older? Thanks for sharing!

    1. My youngest could use a devise like this at 3 years old.

      If your kids are interested in your smartphone… they would be interested in a Kindle.

  4. I love that so many educational apps are around to help kids learn more. These are some great apps to put on a kindle. I had no idea that so many of them were free, I know the cost of the apps can add up.

  5. This is such a great list of apps! My son has a kindle but he doesn’t really play on it anymore. We pretty much took all electronics away in my house to get the kids outside and thankfully it has worked. However, They got them back and only use them from time to time now so I will have to add some of these on the kindle!

  6. I don’t have a Kindle, but these Kindle apps do look good for kids. I’ll have to suggest them to my niece for my little nephew since he is at the age when he’s learning a lot of these things.

    That is so cool that Rosetta Stone has an app to teach kids languages, and the best part is that it is free. I think the Human Anatomy Atlas sounds like something really cool to try out. It’s amazing how tablets have become such a beneficial learning tool.
