For this recipe, you will need just a few simple ingredients. There’s nothing complicated we’re just making water a little more exciting and tasty.

You will need some water, oranges, and blueberries to make this particular infused water recipe. You can use mandarins if you have them on hand or another type of citrus, to be honest they all taste great in an infused water recipe.

What tools do I need to make infused water recipes? 

You can get fancy or you can use what you have on hand. We’ll be using a muddler or wooden spoon, a pitcher, and a spoon to stir everything up.

If you make a lot of infused water you might wish to purchase an infusion water pitcher. It will allow you to put all your ingredients into a tube that fits into the center of the pitcher. The flavors are infused into the water while the fruit and skins stay trapped in the middle! 

How to make orange blueberry infused water: 

Step 1: Place orange slices and blueberries in a pitcher. Gently muddle the fruit with the back of a spoon or muddler to release the natural flavors into the water.

Step 2: Cover with the fresh water and place in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours. 

Step 3: Serve in a glass filled with ice, garnish with a slice of orange and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 large navel orange, cut into slices
  • 1 pint of fresh blueberries

Instructions

    1. Place orange slices and blueberries in a pitcher.
    2. Gently muddle the fruit with the back of a spoon or muddler to release the natural flavors into the water. 
    3. Cover with the freshwater and place it in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours.
    4. Serve in a glass filled with ice, garnish with a slice of orange and enjoy!

Notes

Sparkling water works just as well as plain water. Don't be afraid to experiment with other fruit combinations.
