Anthony was not home to like it. (He stayed the night with his Mom after getting back into town.)
Lenny’s parents liked it.
Lenny’s twin brother Larry really liked it.
I scarfed it down so fast I got indigestion liked it.
It was good! Better than take out if you ask me!
We even had fortune cookies to finish off the mood. They had fun fortunes like, A Keen Sense of Humor Brightens the Day.
School supply shopping done by the way. Office Depot was not that bad. Really. I was surprised. And it is Tax Free Weekend here in Texas. Usually, that means lots of crazy people. Not so much at The Depot.
Now, Famous Footwear on the other hand, was busy. Shoes were a mess. Kids were all over the place. But, we survived. And totally understand, since our brood took up much of whatever aisle we were on. They had buy one get one half off, so that is always a plus!Garrett picked these and Anthony picked the same shoes, but with red accents instead of white. (They always go in wanting to get shoes ‘very different’ from one another, but both have the same taste… go figure.)
Then we went to Jason’s Deli for late lunch/early dinner…. no crockpotting tonight. You know Jason’s Deli is rated one of the best places to feed your kids per Parents Magazine.
(It is Grandpa Lopez’s favorite place to eat. He brags that he can feed everyone for $30 at Jason’s Deli. And, he gets all the veggies any old man could ever want. ha! (Hope you are smiling, Ruben!))
And to finish up the TFW events, I ran to WalMart tonight to get diapers… just real fast. Ha, that was an oxy-moron. Real fast and WalMart in the same sentence. I can catch up on all my tabloid trash while standing in the lines at WalMart waiting to check out with one measly box of diapers… and I did. Got the Jon and Kate scoop (so mad at Jon right now), the Britney Bikini Body scoop (she is looking good), The Jennifer Aniston and Renee Zellweger fighting over the same man scoop (now, why did Brad leave Jen?). Oh, where was I? Tax Free Weekend @ WalMart… yes, it was in full force there at 10:30 pm. Should’ve planned that trip better! WalMart is crazy no matter what time of day you go. I imagine tomorrow it will be like black Friday since it is the last tax free day and the day before school starts.
