Pumpkin spice recipes are some of my absolute favorites!!
Have you ever tried adding some pumpkin puree to your chocolate chip cookies?
What about some pumpkin spice too?
Amazing!!
These pumpkin chocolate chip cookies are an excellent twist on a classic sweet treat. You’re going to love the pumpkin flavor these cookies have.
Let me show you just how easy they are to make. And they are perfect for your next get together, bake sale, or just because.
First, gather up all of your ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup sweet cream butter, melted (you could use unsalted butter if you want but it will change the taste)
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt (you could use sea salt if you want)
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Now, for the fun part!
Directions:
I always like to use parchment paper on my baking sheets. For two reasons; easy cleanup and no cookies sticking to the pan. So, line your cookie sheets with parchment paper and set them to the side.
Next, in another mixing bowl, mix in the pumpkin puree, both sugars, molasses and vanilla extract.
Once combined add in the melted butter.
Mix well.
In third bowl, whisk together the flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually mix in your dry ingredients into the wet until everything is mixed together well.
Gently add in the chocolate chips.
You should have an orange colored chocolate chip cookie dough.
Pretty, right?
For best results chill the dough for an hour before baking.
Now let’s get the cookies onto the pan.
I prefer to use a cookie scooper or a melon baller to make perfect balls of cookie dough that are all the same size.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Once oven is preheated bake the cookies for 12-13 minutes. I like to start peeking in on them at about 9 minutes, personally, because I like them chewy in the center.
If you leave them on the pan they will continue to cook some as long as the pans are hot.
Allow cookies to cool completely before enjoying! Unless you like a gooey hot cookie… and if that’s the case I won’t stop you!
