Thrifty Finds- Jeans and Tops for Winter

Sharing is caring!

You guys are learning that I am growing really fond of thrift shopping at Goodwill! My friend Kim is totally turning me into a thrifty momma.

Last Wednesday was half priced day at a couple of the local Goodwill’s and off we went. I needed new jeans and I really love Old Navy Diva jeans- that was the main clothing item I was in search of.

Tip: If you are taking any children with you to do thrift shopping, especially if you are searching for clothes, it is really important that you take someone along who can help you with your little ones. (Thanks Kim!) I spent probably 30-40 minutes in the dressing room because I have to try everything on. I bet I tried on 20-25 pairs of jeans and they all fit so different.

Here are some of the things I walked away with:

Two pair of Old Navy Sweetheart jeans (no Divas this time). One pair is a shade darker than the other and also longer, although you can not tell here. I like the different lengths because I can wear shoes with a heel while wearing one pair and the other pair will go great with flats. (My friend Kim actually scored one of these at the Goodwill by her house before we met up. This is the benefit of sharing your pant size with your friends.)
Old Navy Sweetheart Jeans: $4.00 per pair
Old Navy Gray Sweater: $2.50
Then my friend Kim found me this Chico jewel dazzled top while I was in the dressing room. It was at the bottom of a bin.  I think I am going to wear it for our family Christmas photos.
Can you see the jewels? Kinda hard to photograph.
Chico Top: $2.50
At first I was not interested in this next top, but my friend Kim convinced me to try it on. (I am kind of a pain to shop with…) It is sleeveless and a turtle neck…. not exactly what I was looking for. So glad I tried it on.
It is oversized and long with an empire waist. I think it is going to be perfect with tights or jeans. Partner it with a cute long sleeve shirt underneath and it is perfect!
Old Navy Oversized Turtle Neck Sweater: $1.99
Lots more to come next week including great finds I scored for the big boys as well as my favorite outfit I found for myself!

You did great Crystal! I found some tag on deals recently. Love a great deal.

  2. And I was thinking the sleeveless sweater under a v-neck or button down. So it is versatile.

  3. Christina- Isn't that a great feeling… when you find tags still on your thrifty finds?!

dogsmom- yap, I think it is going to be a very versatile top afterall. I am really glad I ended up with it. 🙂

    Thanks for stopping by ladies!

  4. I was going to take the jeweled top if you didn't want it. I was also thinking it would be good for pictures. 🙂
