What You Need to Make Valentine OREO Cookie Balls

How to Make Valentine OREO Cookie Balls

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Crush OREO cookies in a zipper baggie or food processor.

Add in cream cheese and stir until combined. Roll cookie mixture into 1-inch balls.

Place cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes.

Melt almond bark in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each increment until smooth.

Roll each of the cookie balls in the almond bark shake off the excess.

Return cookie balls to the baking sheet and let rest for 20 minutes to allow the almond bark harden.

Drizzle additional almond bark over cookie balls to create thin lines.

Immediately drop sprinkles over the thin lines of almond bark.

Allow almond bark harden for 20 minutes.

Place cookie balls in an airtight container and store in the fridge or freezer.

Before you race off to make Valentine cookie balls for yourself though, let’s talk about a few questions I’ve been asked about these in the past, so you know what you’re getting into.

How Long Do OREO Cookie Balls Last?

They’ll last for 12-20 days in the fridge, in an airtight container. I wouldn’t leave them on the counter because of the cream cheese element. Not pretty after a few days, if you know what I mean. Plus, they don’t hold together and make for a nice consistency inside the almond bark if they’re not chilled.

So, keep these Valentine cookie balls chilled and expect them to last for a while, as a result!

Can You Freeze Cookie Balls?

Yes! I know I normally say “frozen chocolate gets this weird film” but almond bark is a little different. Because it’s somehow different, it doesn’t get that weird film when you freeze it, so I say “YES!”

If you store your Valentine OREO Cookie Balls in the freezer, you can expect to be able to keep them for 3-5 months.
