First Birthday Invitations

Sharing is caring!

I love to make birthday party invitations for my kiddos.
Here is a fun tutorial for the invitations I did for Matthew’s first birthday party.
I totally lucked out and found this number one template online.
First make two copies of the template.
You’ll notice there are two perforated lines.
You will cut one template at the first perforated line and the second one at the second perforated line.
By doing this you will have two different size templates.
A bigger one and a smaller one like the picture below.
Use the bigger template and trace it on a sheet of white card stock.
Make one of these for each invitation you plan to make.
Using an assortment of scrapbook paper, you will now trace the smaller number one template.
You’ll make two of these….
trace one for the front….
then trace one for the back (make sure you reverse the direction for the back side).
Glue these to the white card stock- one to the front and one to the back.
I love to include a current picture on the invitations as well.
So I cut the picture out…..
and used dots to adhere them to the front of the invitation.
On the back I included a poem and details for the party.
I printed them on blue card stock and glued them to the back of the invitation.
And there you have it. A fun invitation that was a hit!
(And a keepsake.)
Here are some super awesome first birthday cupcakes and
a first birthday tshirt you can celebrate with as well.
