Homemade Liquid Hand Soap

Sharing is caring!

We go through a lot of soap in this house. One thing I will not budge on is antibacterial soap. I must have it in our kitchen and in our bathrooms.

I had no idea I could make my own homemade liquid hand soap that it kills 99.96%  of bacteria germs naturally without any harsh chemicals.

Have you ever heard of Thieves essential oil? The oil is inspired by the 15th century legend. There were French thieves who created a concoction using aromatic blends made up of clove, rosemary, cinnamon, lemon and other botanicals. They rubbed it on their chest while robbing the graves of the dead and dying. The creation gave them immunity to the deadly illnesses that plagued their community. Once they were captured they shared the recipe in exchange for a lesser sentence. And Thieves essential oil was born.

I am going to show you how easy it is to use Thieves to make homemade liquid hand soap. It costs a little over $1 to make an 8 oz bottle of foaming antibacterial hand soap and this is free of unnecessary chemicals!

Homemade Liquid Hand Soap Using Essential Oils

I got my foaming soap dispenser from Hobby Lobby for $1.99. I found some online on Amazon, but they were too pricey.

You can just reuse an old bottle you have on hand from buying foaming soap.

You can also store this in a mason jar soap dispenser. It costs very little to make and is super easy.

  2. I can’t wait to try this variation. We have eczema and we can’t do real bacterial soap because it dries our hands too much. I have used castille soap to make foaming soap, but not with vegetable glycerine!

  4. Christel Harden says:

Castile soap is made of chemicals (sodium hydroxide – lye – and oil); glycerine is a chemical; Thieves oil and everything in it is a chemical. All chemicals are not bad. Everything is made of chemicals.

  5. HI! What size foam dispenser do you use for this recipe?
