Forensic Files

Sharing is caring!

Found this in Matthew’s toy box the other day.

It was mushy.

Had a stem.

Decaying.

Had a hair on it.

A bit smelly.

Edible in its previous life.

What is it?

Im going to say at some point in its edible life it was an apple. I’ve found similar things in our girls toy boxes over the years. The most interesting was a fully dried banana with peel still intact. It was rather gross!

    1. Christina- a fully dried banana with the peel still on? I bet that was a site to see. Pretty cool, too. 🙂
So glad I am not the only one.

I know….it looks a lot like something I found in our toy room the other day. An apple or what’s left of an apple! So gross…lol

  3. I’d say an apple. If it was a little bigger and wider at one end- I’d say a possible pear. I see bananna’s all the time. My daughter gets them, walks off with them and leaves them where ever when she’s done. The other day I found one in her doll bed where she had tried to feed her doll then walked off. It was a nice black and green mush color! Yum! lol!

  4. Looks like in a former life it was an apple. That’s my guess.
    Have to share this:
I found a treasure in my own closet as a girl (in a lunch bag no less!). Thought it was a melted chocolate bar. Sadly, when I opened the baggie, it was a really old deviled egg! Can you say EWWWWWWWWWWWWW….GRAB THE AIR FRESHENER!!!! It smelled sooooooooo baddddddddddddd!
Just sharing this so you know it doesn’t just happen in homes with boys! 🙂

    1. Becki- that is so funny and gross. You’ve got me beat with an old deviled egg. I can only imagine!

Yes, this one is an apple!
