A Healthy Snack Gets Thumbs Up #TryFrusionFree

Sharing is caring!

Ask my kids. I am pretty strict about what they can and cannot eat.

We have a snack container. It is not full of junk. You will find mostly organic treats and only things that are high fructose corn syrup free. I talk about this a lot and share my struggles often on Instagram as I search for products at the store without HFCS.

We have a snack drawer in the fridge. You will find apples, carrot sticks, cheese sticks, applesauce, yogurt, grapes and other fresh fruits and veggies depending on the season. I have talked about this many times with you guys and how we even weave these items into our weekly meal plans and use them as easy no cook sides with our dinners.

Please understand, I am not saying that my kids never get candy or “junk food”, but I certainly limit it. With this many boys in one house a junk food frenzy is something I work hard to avoid.

Have you seen these new Frusion fruit+yogurt smoothies?

They are pretty awesome.

Perfect for keeping in the fridge and letting the kids grab them as a quick addition to breakfast or lunch. We like them as afternoon snacks, which is exactly what we did the other day when we went to walk our new dog, McCoy.

We headed to the park with smoothies in hand.

I opened Matthew’s for him.

He drank.

I asked him what he thought.

His answer is clear.

Anthony chugged his down quickly.

He liked that it had chunks of fruit in it. I think that made it more filling than typical plain yogurt.

Luke is my protein shake lover, so this was totally up his ally.

He is a very, very active child and he liked that he could run around with it and drink it at the same time.

As a mom I love this! I love that one 7 oz smoothie gives my boys a full day of vitamin C (100%) and half of their daily calcium (50%) and is an excellent source of protein. The protein factor is one reason we love to keep yogurt on hand, period.

I also love that these are high fructose corn syrup free!!!!

Frusion is certainly a mommy solution and a great back to school solution for snack time, lunchbox time and an on-the-go morning breakfast addition.
