Weekly Meal Plan 22

Sharing is caring!

Food. Um. Let’s plan….

Cold cereal (I know it is not the healthiest in the world… but it is so easy!)

Nutella and toast

Eggs and toast

Instant Oatmeal- Maple and Brown Sugar is the fav

We have fresh fruit on hand as well to partner with any of these choices, but big kids do not always want that. Go figure.

Big boys packed lunches are:

Nutella and Peanut Butter

apple

chips

bottled water (with flavor packet to add)

snack item- (cookie, granola bar, leftover cupcake from this weekends b-day party)

Lunch for those of us at home:

Hot dogs (have tons of dogs and buns leftover from Matthew’s b-day party)

Corny dogs

ABC’s and 123’s

PBJ sandwich

We have grapes, apple sauce, apples, and carrots as some fruit/veggie choices.

After school time is a hungry time at our house…

Frozen Pizza Rolls

Velveeta Cheesy Dip- with chips.

Popcorn on the stove

Baked tator tots with cheese

Granola bars and yogurt

Sunday Chicken Dinner in the Crockpot– we love this! You do not have to serve it on Sunday either. It is like chicken pot roast. Yum!

Crockpot Chimichangas – love these!! They are so delish! Puerto Rican rice on the side.

Homemade Pizza– just pepperoni and cheese. There are a variety of pizza dough mixes you can buy- just grab one. Usually you just add water. Great dinner where the kids can help!

Homemade Gourmet Garlic Drumsticks– but I am going to throw them in the crockpot!

Leftover Buffet– use ’em up!

Nutella? REally? I've never tried it but always wanted to. And i love the left over ideas but my husband would flip- he is sooo not a left over guy … and then he'd probably tell his mother on me! HAA! Followin now from Connect MEme Monday- stop by my place when you can!

Kelli- yes, our grocery bill could break the bank. Sometimes I feel like I am running a daycare.

Aphrodite- Nutella is a staple in my house. My two big boys eat something with Nutella on it just about every single day. They love it!

    Have a great week ladies!

  8. Amy {The Red Chair Blog} says:

Nutella = YUM! Thanks for stopping by my blog to say hello. To answer your question about the connector pieces for the wire shelving, I would do one of two things:

    1. Contact the manufacturer to see if you can order replacements (Whitmor made the ones I have, but there may be others who make a similar product).

    2. Another idea would be to go to a home improvement store and buy some zip ties in the electrical dept. and use these to connect your grids. Figure out your configuration before you shop so you'll know how many ties you need (some configurations use fewer connectors.)

    Hope this helps!

Miss Mommy- forgot to answer your Puerto Rican rice question. My husband is Puerto Rican… his mother, and most of his family, cook a lot of traditional foods from the island, the rice being one of them. (My husband's grandparents were born on the island and then came to New York. My husband's parents as well as my husband were all born in New York… then moved down to Texas in the late 60's.)

I generally make a pot every week. It has traditional Puerto Rican spices in it like Sazon, Adobo and Safrito as well as garlic, tomato sauce, olive oil, green olives and gandules verdes (a bean also called pigeon peas).

I really need to share the recipe as it is such a staple on my meal plan…. in time I will take pictures and share the step by step directions. It is to die for!
