Sharing is caring!

Today I would like for you to welcome Barbara from Clipper Girl. She has an awesome site all about saving you time and money. You will want to follow her on Facebook and Twitter to ensure you do not miss any of the awesome coupons and deals she shares.   Today she gives us resources and solutions for finding coupons in places other than the  Sunday paper.   Enjoy!

The use of grocery coupons to stretch grocery budgets has increased significantly in 2011 due in large part to the premier of TLC’s Extreme Couponing.

Today’s couponer, however, is not the same as your grandmother who tirelessly clipped grocery coupons from the Sunday insert.   Today’s couponer is computer and tech savvy.   They are taking advantage of today’s technology to help them save money.   Coupons can be found on the computer, on store loyalty cards and on the smartphone.   I am highlighting just a few of the methods for saving money that don’t require clipping coupons from an insert.

::Grocery Coupons On The Computer

Manufacturer’s printable coupons are the oldest and most well known form of “tech” coupon.   Grocery coupons abound on manufacturer’s sites, Coupons.com, RedPlum.com, SmartSource and CouponNetwork.   Printable coupons are generally limited to two prints per computer and they each have a unique code that can identify what ISP the coupon was printed from.

Target.com has its own printable grocery coupons. These coupons are generally store coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer’s coupons for even more savings.

::Grocery Coupons On Store Loyalty Cards

Cellfire grocery coupons are electronic coupons that are available for use at select grocery retailers.   The coupons are downloaded to your store loyalty card, but you can also download an app for your Blackberry, Android or iPhone to view available grocery coupons and download them to your card while shopping so that you never miss another deal.

Shortcuts.com is another form of electronic grocery coupon that is available at select retailers and is downloaded to to your store loyalty card.

Proctor & Gamble eSaver is a great resource for electronic coupons that can be downloaded to your store loyalty card so that you save money on your favorite P&G products.

SavingStar Coupons are eCoupons with a different “slant”.   Rather than saving money at the register, your savings are deposited into an account where you can earn paypal or amazon gift cards.   Coupons are generally updated monthly.

::Grocery Coupons On The Smartphone

Although I am concentrating on grocery coupons for this post, you can sign up for many retailers to have money saving coupons delivered straight to your phone.

Target Mobile Coupons are a great source for saving money at Target.   The coupons are store coupons so they can be stacked with manufacturer’s coupons for even more savings.

Shopkick is another source for Target coupons and other retail coupons.   There are apps that can be downloaded to both the android and the iphone.   You can even earn rewards for iTunes, Target and Best Buy gift cards each time you use Shopkick.

As you can see, grocery coupons can be found on many of the electronic devices that we use everyday.

How many of these tech savvy coupons have you used?
