Change of plans turn out yummy!
My menu plan was to make Crockpot Cream Cheese Chicken Sunday night and use leftover chicken for Monday nights Chicken Lasagna.
Despite the huge crock full of legs, thighs and even some quarters, it ended up only being enough meat for our Sunday dinner. My plans to cook once and reuse chicken for my next meal quickly changed.
What to do, what to do?
After all my latest blog stalking I having fallen in love with a site that is just perfect for all of us who yearn for delicious recipes with handy ingredients and scrumptious results.
I am totally still a dedicated stalker of the crockpot lady’s site as well… no worries, but the beauty in this is to network, remember? Food Network… ha, ha… get it?
Comedy is free here at Crystal & Co.
Eat at Home is where I have found two great recent desserts I shared with you guys… which I will reference one more time because my family loved them so much- the Apple Crinkle and Pumpkin Sheet Cake . By the way, have you tried either of them yet? If not… MAKE IT TONIGHT! Well, not both, but make one of them tonight. As Emily Elizabeth regularly tells Clifford the Big Red Dog, ‘Have I ever steered you wrong?’ Trust me! Oh, Kroger has apples on sale this week- 4 for $1.00. One more reason you should make the Apple Crinkle this week!
Get to the point, right?!
So, the Eat at Home Lady had a recipe for this delicious Rachael Ray knock off Spaghetti and Olive Oil dish…. FANTASTIC! Took like 20 minutes seriously and we even had bread with dipping sauce and prepackaged caesar salad that was marked down for quick sale because the use by date was approaching in two days. I spent maybe $5.00 getting everything including the bread!
Make this spaghetti ensemble tonight!
Or tomorrow.
Soon, ok?
Really good.
And by the way, Kroger has great meat sales right now. I needed a roast to throw in the crockpot for my chimichangas this week…. they were basically giving chuck roast away. The one I purchased was priced $15.97 and I paid ONLY $5.37! If I’m lyin’ I’m dyin’.
(Yes, I divert from my Target path for meat sales! Forgive me!)
So, while I am so thrilled to share this greatness with you, I do hear children making a mess in the living room and what sounds like a basketball landing in the kitchen sink… I must go now, but please, take my word and MAKE THIS SPAGHETTI DINNER SOON!
And I still need to answer Anthony’s sweet question from our car ride home from school. He is very concerned about God and his desire to understand everything about Him. His exact question today was ‘Did God walk on this Earth… you know…. with his two feet…. like really walk on this Earth?’
Then we were distracted by a motorcycle for whatever reason and the conversation turned to total boy talk.
Eat something good tonight, would ya? And clean up that mess in the living room.
