Weekly Meal Plan #7
Here are my meals for this week. Dinners first and then breakfast and lunch to follow.
No theme this week other than cheap and easy….. like me. JUST KIDDING! Pick your jaw up… I am totally kidding.
We have a Halloween party Friday night and we will trick or treat and eat out Saturday…. I only need four dinner meals this week
Dinners:
Grilled Hot Dogs – served with chips and pumpkin applesauce (Yes, I am making hotdogs for dinner…. I am speechless as well!)
Crockpot Broccoli Cheese Soup- with smoked sausage and cornbread as the sides.
Pesto Crockpot Chicken with Sweet Potatoes – served with steamed broccoli. (This is a meal from last week that I did not get to make… I forgot we were having dinner with friends one night…. so we will have it this week.) What I really like about this meal is you are layering in the crockpot using foil to divide your chicken from the whole sweet potatoes. Even better, toss the chicken in while it is still frozen and it really makes for a very easy meal from beginning to end.
Pork Chops and Puerto Rican Rice– maybe this week I will share the famous rice recipe????
Breakfast:
Garrett and Anthony convinced Lenny to buy them more Toaster Strudels… once those are gone we will have homemade Nutritious Bars for breakfast the rest of the week.
Twins will have oatmeal, cold cereal or Nutritious Bars to choose from each day for their breakfast options.
Lunch:
Garrett and Anthony are packing peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches. Anthony likes bananas on his. For their sides they will have grapes, chips and an apple.
Twins will have Tortilla Roll-ups or peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches with apples, grapes, chips, baby carrots and leftover pumpkin apple sauce (I made a whole jar of it).
As the week goes on, I will share recipes of the meals that are fabulously worthy.

I like the pesto chicken and sweet potato recipe. The idea of layering in the slow cooker sounds GREAT!!!
Nutella is a favorite here also. The kids love it with peanut butter, bananas or just on toast.
I have become a follower of your blog. I love to share recipes and baking ideas. Come by and maybe do the same.

I can't buy Nutella. I eat a whole jar within a few days. Have you ever tried it with strawberries? Yummm. Especially in the summer when it gets a little warm and melty sitting in the hot cupboard. We have nut allergies in my family, so I haven't introduced nuts to my Little Man yet (he's only 18 months)…. could be a problem once I do!
I hope you enjoyed the broccoli cheese soup. It's such a reliable, warming soup to have on these wet, cool autumn days. Thanks so much for linking up to Crock Pot Wednesday. I really appreciate your participation. Thanks a bunch!
