What a Nutrisystem Lunch Looks Like and Week 1 Results

Sharing is caring!

*These results are from last week, I am just late in sharing them with you. My entire family has been sick for the last week. 🙂

In the past when I have considered diet systems that come with food I’ve wondered how good could the food really be? So far, the Nutrisystem foods have been surprisingly tasty.

The Woman’s Plan that I am doing requires you to eat five times per day. This allows your metabolism and blood sugar levels to remain stable. Here is the break down for each meal and what should be eaten when following the plan.

I am sure you’re wondering what does a meal really look and what are the fruit and vegetable options?
Let me share with you what one of my favorite lunches from last week looked like.

My Nutrisystem lunch item was their frozen Margherita Pizza. (They have a selection of both frozen and pantry ready foods.) Super yum!

I then chose to add a protein, which was a hard boiled egg.

For my two vegetable choices I did:

1 cup of raw carrots (not all of them are in the below picture)
a salad with specified unlimited toppings (I sliced the egg on top of my salad)

The unlimited salad items I chose were (these all count as just one vegetable when making a salad)

mushrooms
cucumbers
cherry tomatoes
orange bell pepper slices
Romain and Iceberg lettuce

The plan encourages you to drink 6-8 glasses of water per day, but there are also other drink choices like sodas with artificial sweeteners (but I do not like them), nonsweet tea, sugar free flavor packets to your water, etc.

As the weeks go along I would like to share with you more of my favorite selections from each meal category and what a complete meal looks like for each category.

One thing I am certainly learning from Nutrisystem is that many of my portions previously were out of control and I was loading up on the wrong things. I was not putting enough fruits and veggies into my diet and filling up more on the very fatty things. My old diet also was not enough small meals spread throughout the day.

So am I losing weight? At the end of the first week I weighed 163.5, which means I lost 3 pounds. I was really hoping to lose more than that the first week, but I am told this is a very normal weight loss rate.

If you would like to learn more about the program, feel free to visit Nutrisystem online. They are currently offering free shipping as well as rollback pricing from 2003!

Nutrisystem is providing their program free of charge to Crystal & Co. in lieu of participation in the Nutrisystem Nation Blogging Program.

  2. I would love to lose 3 lbs in one week! Congrats! I have so far lost 20 lbs. in the past two years (many distractions) on WW online. Thirteen more to go! Keep posting. You will inspire me!

That's awesome Crystal. I average 1 to 1.5 pounds a week on Nutrisystem unless I load up on protein. I don't know if you have a COSTCO membership but I buy their chocolate and vanilla protein shakes in a tub. Each serving has 26 grams of protein (so much more than yogurt) and is only 130 calories. I have a very long way to go to reach my goal, but I know it will take time as I didn't gain the weight fast. So far I know of 3 moms at Harrison Lane that are on Nutrisystem. I wonder if there are more that I just haven't met yet.
