Walgreens #BalanceRewards: There is an App For That

I have been a long time fan of Walgreens. Being that we are self pay for medical, I have shared before how much we like their Rx Savings program and how beneficial it has been for our family.

Did you know that Walgreens is launching a new program called Balance Rewards?

It is a program that rewards you for “living a happy, healthy and well-balanced life“. And, there is an app for it.

With the app you can:

• refill a prescription
• check your rx history
• order photo prints
• locate a store
• find mobile coupons
• sign up for deal alerts
• create a shopping list
• check the weekly ads
• join the rewards program
• monitor rewards points
• find a Walgreens clinic
• shop online (yes, that says shop!)

Nifty little app isn’t it? Certainly a mommy solution.

How to Get Started #BalanceRewards

It is very easy to get started.

I went into the store to get signed up so I could ask every question I had, but I did not have to do that.

You can download the app easily by scanning the QR code on the Balanced Rewards brochure.

Boom, your phone finds the app and it is downloaded.

From there you can use the app to locate your Balance Rewards card.   The app will link your card account to the app with just the push of a button.   If you have not signed up for your Balance Rewards card yet, you can do so using the app. It really can’t get any simpler.

Now, you can do all of the things I’ve mentioned above, such as view the current circular. Go green! But my favorite thing is that you can seriously shop Walgreens using the app.

Let’s shop for Halloween items.

Select a category.

I chose Seasonal, then Holiday Decor, then Halloween.

And I can easily and painlessly shop online for all of my Halloween decor.

And, when I spend $25 or more, the shipping is free.

And, since the app is linked to my #BalanceRewards card, I earn points as I shop.

I don’t think it gets much easier than that!
