Teaching Our Kids to Show Thanks #ProjectMahalo

Sharing is caring!

How do you show thanks? Do you send a thank you card? Take the person out to dinner or buy them a coffee? Make them a nice homemade meal? However you do it, King’s Hawaiian wants you to help them with a big Thank You, or Mahalo, which means Thank You in Hawaiian.

Giving generously without expecting anything in return is a big part of the Hawaiian culture and something that is very important at King’s Hawaiian. They would like for you to share in this Aloha Spirit by participating in the King’s Hawaiian Project Mahalo.

thank you kings hawaiian

King’s Hawaiian has selected 4 charitable partners to be a part of this project. All they need from you is to vote for which charity you feel best embodies the spirit of giving generously to others, honoring family and community, and reflecting the genuine hospitality and graciousness of Hawaii. You can select from the following charities:

1) Big Brothers Big Sisters – Big Brothers Big Sisters provides careful mentor matching & long-term support to help kids facing adversity achieve success.

2) Meals on Wheels Association of America – Meals On Wheels Association of America supports local Meals On Wheels programs that deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors.

3) Family Caregiver Alliance – FCA supports and strengthens the work of families nationwide caring for loved ones with chronic disabling health conditions.

4) One Warm Coat – To Share the Warmth, One Warm Coat works to provide a warm coat, free of charge, to anyone in need.

All great organizations but only one can get your vote! kings hawaiian

In order to vote, just go to the King’s Hawaiian Project Mahalo page where you can either \”Learn More\” or \”Vote for this Charity\”. Then submit your entry by entering your email address. It’s that simple and a great way for you to say \”Mahalo\”.

Each person can vote only once. Voting ends on April 21, 2013. Results will be announced on May 1, 2013 which is known as Lei Day in Hawaii.

Each Project Mahalo charitable partner will receive a minimum $10,000 donation, and the partner earning the highest number of votes will instead receive a $25,000 donation.

So show your support and give a big Mahalo and head over to vote for the charity you feel is most deserving!

Mahalo is the Hawaiian word for thank you. You can say thank you to these wonderful charities- Big Brothers Big Sisters, Meals On Wheels Association of America, Family Caregiver Alliance, and One Warm Coat by voting for them on www.kingshawaiian.com/project-mahalo.

All charities will receive $10k, but the winner with the most votes will receive $25k.
