Activities for Kids: Rainbow Shamrocks
I have a two year old and a three year old and sometimes its hard to find activities for kids that they both can do.
The other night we created rainbow shamrocks and it was an activity that both kids were able to enjoy.
To make your own rainbow shamrocks you will need:
- Glue
- Confetti (bought or make your own)
- Construction paper
We had confetti left over from last Easter so that’s what we used.
If you don’t have any confetti, you can make your own by cutting up different color pieces of construction paper.
Use the glue to draw your shamrock shape onto the construction paper.
To make a shamrock – draw four hearts close together and color then in with glue.
Add a stem and viola! A shamrock.
Stand back and let your kids cover the glue with confetti.
Its fun to see their thought patterns when they create.
My daughter wanted to be precise while my son threw the confetti everywhere.
Also, it helps to have a broom near by for clean up.
Shake off excess confetti and admire your rainbow shamrock!
Now your house is ready for St. Patrick’s day!

thanks!
I love it! Plus, the older kids can add in their own touches like glitter glue and markers.
