Pattern block activities are an excellent way to foster early math skills. Learning manipulatives are a great way to enhance a child’s learning. And kids love, love, love creating things out of shapes. I know, I have a houseful of kiddos we’ve homeschooled for over a decade.

These Cinco de Mayo pattern block printables are not only educational, but fun. My preschooler and kindergartener loves themed creations like these.

Pattern Block Printable Mats

Each page not only includes shape creation with the blocks, but it also include vocabulary with the name of the image on the page.

Your student will trace the word. Handwriting practice is great for pencil grip development and fine motor.

You will also find that each page has additional math work your young learner can do.

They will count and write the total number of each shape that was used.

Then there is a place at the bottom for them to give a total of all blocks used.

Make Pattern Block Mats Reusable

If you are wanting to use these pages over and over again in a classroom setting, I do recommend that you laminate them to save on printing.

You can either purchase a laminating machine, or use one page laminating sheets that do not require a machine.

These pattern block mats will bring hours of learning fun. My four year old asks to do pattern shapes almost daily.
