Elf and Barbie Share a Soda

Sharing is caring!

Some of the best Elf on the Shelf ideas are those that involve grabbing quick things that you already have on hand…. like things from your pantry.

For this one we are going to use a doll, a soda and two straws.

Elf and Barbie share a soda and of your kids will love it.

Set Barbie and your Scout Elf up, generally the kitchen table or the kitchen counter are a good option for this one.

Stick two straws in the soda. We used a glass bottle of cream soda root beer for that soda shop feeling.

Position the straws to look like the dolls are drinking the soda.

To add a little drama you can drink some of the soda so it looks like they’ve been drinking it, leaving the bottle only partly full.

This really is a super easy Elf idea. It takes two minutes to set up, which is my favorite kind of shenanigan.

When Should Elf on the Shelf Move?

Each night your elf should fly back to the North Pole to report naughty and nice behavior to Santa. This is a fun activity we do at our house during the holiday season.

Does Elf on the Shelf Come After Thanksgiving

At our house Elf arrives the morning after Thanksgiving (Black Friday) and makes his last appearance on Christmas Eve.

Then he flies back to the North Pole until next season.

How Do You Clean Elf on the Shelf

If you’ve had your elf doll for a few years and he is always up to no good, you might start to notice that he is getting a little dirty.

We use a damp washcloth to wipe his face off. We’ve had kids draw on Elf’s face before and that comes off easily with a little soap and water.

You can spot clean his clothes. Aside from his face his white collar might start to show some dirt or discoloring. Just just a little soap and water to clean him. If it’s really bad you can grab a used toothbrush to scrub with some mild soap and water.
