We are still in the midst of cold and flu season. It has been a rough season for this household. Those pesky cold germs have found their way into my house time and time again! Completely exhausted with it. On top of that once one kid is sick it seems it slowly trickles through everyone finally finding it’s way to me. The life right? I feel like I have steadily cleaned and disinfected every square inch of my house over and over and over again. I think much of this winter season has been spent countlessly washing doorknobs, light switches, bathrooms, and floors.

You guys can relate, right? It is hard work! And it never ends! Even before this cold season hit I found myself scrambling over hand washing and germ fighting. We added a new baby to the house and even though we are seasoned with children the encouraged hand washing and cleanliness never goes away when you have a house full of boys! With battling sick kiddos and just trying to maintain an orderly house my schedule is full. 1. As far as natural cleaners go, we’ve used vinegar, lemon juice and baking soda to clean using home remedies. Green Works sounds familiar to me, I think I have come across this before, but haven’t bought it. I do like that they leave behind no chemical residue.

  2. I can definitely relate to the never ending battle against germs! My large family is at 6 right now and we have been battling for what seems like months. I would love to give these products a try especially since there aren’t as harsh as some germ fighting products tend to be.

  3. I feel like we have just been passing around the same freaking cold all winter. I need to really use these tips. I am so sick of be SO SICK! This year has been rough for us.

  4. Cindy Gordon says:

Oh germs, my worst enemy. I have been fighting them extra hard this year because I now have two kids in school. They sure like to share germs in school! 🙂

  5. I’m over winter, I’m over the germs, and I’m over the sickness, although I have to say that we haven’t had it half as bad as others! My neighbours got the flu and tonsillitis TWICE, and bronchitis!

  6. I’m so glad we’re an adults-only household! When my stepson was younger, every time he was sick, I caught whatever he had. It seemed that no amount of hand washing and disinfecting would help. I’ve gone back and forth on all-natural cleaners over the years, but Lysol with always be my favorite germ killer. Unfortunately, they don’t sell it in Denmark.

  7. We are an empty nest family right now but I can definitely relate to the story of the “ickies”. Once you find a product that works it is best to keep with it, and I love that Green Works is affordable and a great product.

  8. Sad to say recently the Knoxville school district were close for 2 days due to kids sickness. Proper hygiene and clean environment are very important especially when you have a baby. Since their immune system is not as strong as the adult. In our household we use cleaning product that is environmental friendly but good for killing germs.
