As a mom I think I always feel like my health takes a backseat to my family and my schedule. It is just hard to make time for myself sometimes. Between work, and kids, and homework, housework, and all of the other “mom works” I do I get lost in the day to day stuff.
After having a baby a little over a year ago, my four to be exact, I felt myself slipping even further behind in preserving what little bit of youth I feel I have left. Between my long task list, I put myself at the bottom. I think that is a normal thing moms do. We are selfless. We are last.
My diet has not always been the best. Sometimes I grab for what is easy and worry about the consequences later. You can relate, right? After having this last baby I have felt like I really needed to make a change in some of the things that have become a habit for me. Cutting back sugar has been a big thing for me. Honestly, I feel better physically too!

Believe it or not, there is sugar in everything from sandwich meat to canned tomato sauce. Things we use every single day. Whether it is chocolate or just any old sweet treat I am game for it. My husband is an avid soda drinker. Without a doubt would have 1 a day if he could.
