Our Back to School Style Staple
We are a large(r) family. We are always on a budget.
Having all boys I am pretty lucky that fads and fashion do not play a huge role in our every day life. Being homeschooled may play a part in that, but overall we are just pretty low maintenance people. My boys are all “jeans guys”. Their daddy is too.
Each year at back to school time when jeans are on sale, I stock up. Everyone gets five new pair. (We do the same thing at Christmas time when they go on sale and often buy the next size up.)
My boys wear jeans year round; for play, for nice dinners out, just about every Sunday at church, to special events, etc. You get the idea. (I feel like jeans {and towels} are always going in my washer and dryer.)
We love how versatile they are. They can be dressed up or down. During the warm months in Texas they protect little legs from mosquito and in the winter they keep up warm.
And jeans don’t have to be boring. There are so many styles now: skinny jeans, loose, boot-cut, straight leg, and others. With different denim washes, cuts and pairing it with different shirts it really can change the look completely.
Every little thing is a really big deal and for us the jeans are a big deal.

Even though we homeschool starting the day off dressed and ready to go is vital for us when our goal is structure and having a successful work day. Getting ready is important!
