Meal Plan: How My Crockpot Makes Cooking Easier (Week 172)

Sharing is caring!

My 6 qt oval Crockpot broke about a month ago. The crock itself cracked right in half in the sink. I was sad… that Crockpot was an intricate element in getting me going with learning how to meal plan when the twins were little. It was my first Crockpot with a digital timer that automatically switched to warm and never over cooked.

Let me introduce to you my new 6 qt oval Crockpot.  I tell it how long I want it to cook and then it shifts over to warm- just like my old one only a little fancier.

Love it!

Here is how I am utilizing this Crockpot right now and what I’ve been feeding my family this week.

Meal Plan

Chuck E Cheese Pizza– Matthew tuned 4 last month, but we are finally having his party. Everyone, but me, has a February, March or April birthday in this house. I call it birthday season and it gets busy planning parties and such and everything else. We had pizza at Chuck E Cheese Sunday night with family and friends.

Crockpot Honey Mustard Chicken Breasts– this is a new recipe I will be sharing in my upcoming eBook which shares 21 easy recipes. I am serving with frozen veggies, dinner rolls and a side salad.

Lentil Tacos– served with Puerto Rican Rice and refried beans.

Lentil Nachos– using the leftover taco filling and rice.

Cashew Chicken– this is a yummy meal and I love the convenience of this meal kit. I shared it on Instagram.

Coca-Cola Steak– growing up my good friend Tiffany’s mother used to make this steak using Coke as a marinate. I found a recipe in one of my family cookbooks that belonged to my Grandmother where you use Coke and ketchup and bake the steak in the oven. I am going to try a version of that in the Crockpot. This recipe will also be in my upcoming eBook.

Leftover Buffet– use ’em up!

What are you serving your family?

This week when you cook dinner Instagram your photo and hashtag it with #howtomealplan. I would love to encourage you to repeat dinnertime success over and over again all week long! I cannot wait to see what you’re cooking!
