Have you started planning your Elf on the Shelf Ideas for this year? My kids are so excited for Jack and Diane to arrive this year. Yes, we have two elves-  a boy elf and a girl elf. Yes, their father is John Cougar MellenELF.

We have created an Elf on the Shelf calendar you can use to plan out your shenanigans and happenings! The best part? It is an editable document that you fill in and print!

Now, before you tell me it is too early to be talking about Elf on the Shelf…. understand you are wrong. It is never to early to start thinking about and mapping out your ideas. This stuff is so much fun! And yes, I know, Jesus is the reason for the season. We just like to have a little fictional Elf on the Shelf fun. My kids know this is all fake. Well, maybe…..

All kidding aside, they know that Christmas really is about the birth of Jesus.

  4. Love this calendar! Sometimes I will think of an idea for my elf-on-the-shelf and if I don’t write it down right away, I’ll forget. Keeping it on calendar will help me plan it all out on paper!

  5. Wow, you are seriously prepared! I have been avoiding this because I know how much work it is. This is definitely a great tool to have with everything else going on!

  7. Thanks for sharing a cute printable! We don’t do Elf on the Shelf here in Spain, but it does look a lot of fun. I might take up this tradition next year, thought.

  11. This is a great printable. I’ve never done Elf on the Shelf before. I thought about doing it though. I think it would be fun to do with the kids.

  12. OH that darn elf; I never remember to move him until I wake up gasping from a sound sleep in the middle of the night. Our home is very open and I can’t move him until I KNOW my boys are asleep… which usually means I’m asleep. I love the idea of a printable though to keep track. I usually have lots of ideas but I’m just bad at following through.

  13. How fun! We’ve never done Elf on the Shelf, but I’m thinking about trying it this year with my boys!

  14. We never did Elf on a Shelf in my house, but my cousins do and I bet they would LOVE this! I’ll have to send them the link. Thanks!

  15. I really want to start the Elf on the shelf this year for my family… I’ll have to print this calendar, thank you!

  16. Great idea! I feel like we get super into “Sammy” (our elf) and do wacky ideas and then within a week, it seems to feel like a chore to keep Sammy’s antics interesting. Having a list of ideas will prevent one of us from waking up at the crack of dawn to stealthily move Sammy before the kids wake up! Visiting from Pretty Pintastic Party.

  17. That’s too funny about your Elves’ names. Thanks for sharing your printable with us at the #HomeMatterParty this week.
