Making Your New Year’s Resolution a Reality

Sharing is caring!

Simple Abundance suggests that we embrace change and make our goals a reality. To that I say, let’s all get a robot!  Maybe we can even get an after Christmas deal?

Kidding!

Kind of….

I’ve told you many, many times about the Crockpot Lady. She has a blog dedicated to a day of crockpot cooking for every day of the year. She also has a cookbook that came out a few months ago. Check it out here!

And by the way, her name is Stephanie O’Dea, but she will forever be the crockpot lady to me.

Well, guess what else she’s got? You guessed it. Another blog.

This one is dedicated to organizing/goal setting/meal planning/getting-your-hectic-life-in-order kinds of  ideas. It is like a Franklin Covey philosophy, but in the form of a blog. It is called Totally Together.  She is giving us a step-by-step plan taking all of the guess work out for getting our life totally together for 2010.

Start with Day 1 by clicking here. Just follow her lead and I am certain we will all make an impact on our simply abundant journey!

Now for Simple Abundance thoughts….

‘We already possess all the inner wisdom, strength, and creativity needed to make our dreams come true. This is hard for most of us to realize because the source of this power is buried so deeply beneath the bills, the car pool, the deadlines, the business trip, and the dirty laundry that we have difficulty accessing it in our daily lives.
We can learn to be the catalyst for our own change. You already possess all that you need to be genuinely happy.

There are six principles that will act as guides as we make our inner journey over the next year.
First there is gratitude. When we do a mental and spiritual inventory of all that we have, we realize how rich we are indeed.
Gratitude gives way to simplicity – the desire to clear out, pare down, and realize the essentials of what we need to truly live well.
Simplicity brings with it order, both internally and externally. A sense of order in our life brings us harmony.
Harmony provides us with the inner peace we need to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us each day, and beauty opens us to joy.
But as with any beautiful needlepoint tapestry, it is difficult to see where one stitch ends and another begins.
So it is with Simple Abundance.’

Oh my lands!

I think I just solved every problem in my life right here and right now.

Why did I wait so long to bring this book back into my life? Free therapy is always so very wonderful!

Besides, have you ever noticed that when you go to therapy, you end up answering all of your questions for yourself as you sit there and explain your life of chaos and misunderstanding to a complete stranger?

Me too!

I am so glad I’m not the only one!

But in the end, it is always so great to have someone to talk to. 🙂

I am now officially motivated to fold and hang the pile of clothes waiting for me on my kitchen table! But, I better hurry before I lose sight, which has been known to happen to me rather quickly.

Let the gratitude, simplicity, order, harmony, beauty, and joy begin!

Right here and right now!
