Changes I’ve Noticed While Dieting (Plus Week 14-16 Results)

Sharing is caring!

There are a few things I’ve noticed since I started my diet journey with Nutrisystem at the end of January.

My skin is clearer.

Eating better has certainly improved my skin. I think during my adult years my skin has been more prone to acne than when I was in high school. Anyone else? Now that I eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and rarely eat fried foods, I’ve noticed that my skin is less prone to breakouts over the last few months and is less ruff in texture.

I am less bloated.

While I think women get the raw end of the deal when it comes to being bloated at the mercy of mother nature, I have noticed that, when not affected by mother nature, I am less bloated and my pants are less restrictive. Obviously as I lose weight my pants are going to be less restrictive, but I am talking about putting a pair of jeans on at 8:00 am and by 5:00 pm I am not dreaming of changing into sweatpants.

Non-Nutrisystem Foods Seem Salty or Sweet.

When I have a cheat day, I have notice that traditionally cooked foods, especially from restaurants  or packaged snacks, seem really salty or really sweet. I prefer less salty and less sweet now and that is a good feeling.

I am Fuller Quicker.

It took some time and adjusting in the beginning, but it certainly takes less food to fill me up. So if we are eating out or I eat what I’ve cooked my family for dinner, without thinking about it I am eating in moderation. My body has certainly adjusted.

The first few months are the hardest.

I think it really takes time to change your mindset, in all honesty, it is still a work in progress for me.   I love food, it makes me happy. But I’ve realized that changing my mindset about food really takes some time. It is hard to embrace the fact that you may not lose weight at the same rate as someone else, or even as fast as you thought you would. In my twenties, I could skip a meal here and there and see a difference in my weight. In my thirties, that is far from the truth!

I can say that as others can see a difference in my weight, I start to feel like my hard work is paying off.   Sometimes I still look in the mirror and see the same person before starting Nutrisystem. But when I see a picture of me from Christmas time, the pictures I hated to send out on our Christmas cards, and I see a picture of me current day, I certainly can see a difference.

Cheers, to 17 pounds lost so far! Can you see a difference?

Nutrisystem has asked me to stick around for another three months. This is a real mom’s journey, baby!

Way to go Crystal! I would do it…but, Ruben would eat my food. Being on a fix income I don’t think it would work. I need to lose fifty pounds. You look real good….you don’t look like a Mother of five. You should be the spokes women for Nutrisystem or at least be in their commerical. . What I like about it…it’s not a weight loss over night..then you gain it all back. It’s with proper eating system. Keep on going, I know you will reach your goal.

    1. If you consider that your traditional grocery bill will decrease (aside from produce), you really would be spending close to the same on food overall. And if you take advantage for the 50% off your first order that would be real savings. 🙂
