For my recipe I do it a little differently than the Pampered Chef recipe because I am making it for a large family. I make two rings at a time or one ring and one braid.

First you want to preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Next, either use shredded rotisserie chicken or just dice/chop the cooked chicken up.

Now you need to chop up the fresh broccoli. The smaller the pieces the faster it will cook. Just ensure you have consistently chopped broccoli so you don’t have some pieces that are not done.

Also, dice up your bell pepper. I usually use a red, yellow or orange pepper.

Grab a large bowl. Toss in the diced or shredded chicken, broccoli, belle pepper, garlic, dill and mayo.

Stir well to combine.

On a baking sheet, pizza pan or baking stone, take two cans of crescent roll dough and lay them out so that the pointed ends face outwards from the pan and the straight line of the ends are slightly overlapping each other to form a circle in the center of your pan.

I use two cans of crescent rolls because I want one ring to feed as many people as possible.

Begin to scoop the chicken and broccoli filling on top of the crescent rolls making a circle just as you see in the image. You are placing the filling closer to the flat edge of the dough.

Now, take the pointed end of the crescent rolls and fold it over the top of the filling and tuck it into the inside of the ring.

This is what your ring should look like when it is done.

It does not have to be perfect. This is a super forgiving recipe.

Brush the top with egg white and pop it in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the dough is a deep golden brown.

When it is done take it out of the oven, slice it up and serve. It is perfect for dinner, lunch or brunch. It is a great party or gathering food too!

Can I Make a Chicken Broccoli Braid Using Crescent Rolls?

Would you rather make a braid instead of a crescent ring? It is super easy to do! It does not require any additional ingredients, your assembly method is just a bit different.

How to Make a Chicken Broccoli Braid Using Crescent Rolls

You will make your filling the same way as you do for the ring, but instead of taking the crescent rolls and laying them on the baking pan in a circular way, you will take the two sheets of crescent rolls straight out of the package and simply unroll them and not unattached each individual triangle.

Lay them both on the pan horizontally slightly overlapping in the center.

How to Cut Crescent Roll Dough to Make a Braid

Once you’ve added the chicken and broccoli filling to the center of the dough, use a knife to cut strips from the edge of the dough right up to the where the filling is.

Do this on both sides of the filling.

Grab the strips of dough from each side and bring them up over the filling and twist them on top on the filling.

Bake the chicken broccoli braid at the same temperature and time as the chicken broccoli ring.

Spread an egg white wash over the top of the raw dough before baking it.

This is what it will look like when it is done cooking.
