Crystal & Company, Crystal & Comp, Crystal & Co.

Sharing is caring!

Fickle I am to say the least.

Right now, when referencing my site, what pops into your head first? Crystal & Company, Crystal & Comp, or Crystal & Co. Do not give it much thought. First answer that comes to your head. Which one?

When I went all groovy on my blog, wanting to be a resource for mommy’s, developing a mission and an idea for this space that I landed on in cyberville, and decided to give my blog an official name, I went with Crystal & Co. It describes my life and my site. A woman with enough children she could live in a shoe, but provides cool information to her readers while sharing her pull-your-hair-out journey.

Crystal & Co.

That was it! I like that.

Well, that url was not available. Neither was Crystal & Company.

But Crystal & Comp was. (You can not use the ‘&’ symbol in your url, but you get the idea. Replace the ‘&’ for the word ‘and’, and you are good to go.)

So we plugged along at www.crystalandcomp.com.

When I had my site designed last spring, as you can see, my header includes Crystal & Co. and Crystal & Company. That is what I wanted.

Boy am I good at consistency! {{insert sarcasm}}

Here is the thing. We are evolving. We are growing.

In the coming weeks there will be some changes here at Crystal & Co… or is it Comp or Company? Don’t freak out on me, ’cause I am doing enough freaking out for all of us. We are moving the blog to a WordPress platform, which means absolutely nothing to you. (Believe me, it means nothing to you.) For me, it is cool stuff on the back end, so to speak. Great website-like tools for delivering my content to you. It also means I will be self hosted and will own the shelf in cyberspace that my site sits on. (See, told you it was a boring explanation.) I own it, as in Google (who owns Blogger) can not delete my site just because they feel like it.

So, while we’re making this change it is time to access the user friendly and presentation aspect of it all. Or in my head it is anyway.

We’re going sleek. Same great content, same great topics. same great readers! Just a little different look. Simpler. Focus on the greatness of the information.

I know. I love my header the way it is too. I cried the day the current design went live. The picture describes my life and provides me great therapy. I get emails and comments from readers who connect with it and love it.

But change is good. Small change. Just a bit of a visual change. An early blogging anniversary treat, if you will.

With that said, I need to be consistent. What have I branded? (We are not changing the URL, just being consistent visually.)

This is what I need you to do. Leave me a comment with what pops in your head first- Crystal & Co., Crystal & Company, Crystal & Comp. You can also join in on the conversation over here on Facebook. You follow me there, right?

Thanks for all of the support. Seriously. It means the world to me. We’re going to move mountains. We’re going to touch mommy’s everywhere. We’re going to be amazingly awesome. (Wait, we are already amazingly awesome, right!?)
