Do You Own a Flat Screen Television?
We have a flat screen television in our living room. We are actually on number three in just as many years. How about you?
Our first flat-screen was busted via a baseball bat by a sweet little boy named Nick. We have forgiven him.
The second television just made a popping sound one day, a puff of smoke escaped from the back, and the TV never came on again. Who knows why. We just kinda expect these situations in our home.
The one we have now, it is still alive, but I’ve suggested over and over again that we look into flat screen TV stands or hang it super high on the wall in the living room. It currently is on a credenza in the living room that is too convenient for little fingers to reach.
Better yet, I would love to shop for TV furniture, like an entertainment center that could house not only the television, but any game systems, DVD players, etc. Smart, right?
What about you? Do you have a flat-screen television and how do you display it in your home? Do you prefer to hang it, hide it in a unit with doors, something with storage or maybe something like this great Bello TV stand? When shopping do you need to take space into consideration or is practical the most important factor? I would love to know.
We do have a flat screen. We actually have 3. One in our bedroom that is just sitting on top of the tall dresser. The second one is in our bar room on top of our bar – you know like the ones at the bars. And the third and bigget is sitting on a TV stand that matches the rest of our furniture. My husband would like to have an entire wall unit but I have kind of pushed against it since I don’t want it to seem like the room is closed in.
Our flat screen in the living room is hung entirely too high on the wall……but that is ok. I have embraced it.
For our bedroom I would like to buy an entertainment center. I would like one that would house the satellite box, the wii, DVD. etc. That would be nice. Right now the flat screen is hanging on the wall. Maybe after I get around to repainting the room I will look for some new furniture. 🙂
