Did you know that geoboards are an exceptional tool for making mathematics learning enjoyable and engaging for kids? They are actually unique learning aids that are not only effective but also make the process of learning so much fun! You should add math geoboards to your upcoming lesson plans!

In the pack you get the same sets in black and white. This helps to cut down on toner and gives kids an opportunity to trace the objects with crayons, markers or map pencils.

What Are Geoboards?

They are an educational manipulative that is used to foster and encourage basic concepts in geometry. By using these your child will learn to understand perimeter, area and the characteristics of triangles and other polygons. Kids use rubber bands to form geometrical shapes around the pegs on the board.

What Are Geoboards Used For?

They are great for use in the classroom and in your homeschool lessons. Kids can use the boards with rubberbands to create shapes, numbers, letters, images/pictures, etc.

Geoboard activities are perfect for your math centers!

What Can I Use Instead of a Geoboard?

If you do not have a geoboard you can use a surface like a corkboard, pumpkin, ball, large fruit (like a pumpkin). Then use push pins as your “pegs” and loop the rubber bands around the push pins.
