I remember when my older kids were in public school and the twins were in Mother’s Day Out and breakfast time was crazy at our house.
We want to give our kids a hot breakfast but that is not always possible.
I love things that I can heat up in the oven while everyone is getting ready in the mornings, and this includes morning at our house now that we have homeschooled for two years. Mornings are still busy and there are still hungry bellies, we just aren’t rushing out the door.
We gave these morning breakfast biscuits a try. The kids liked them. It was easy to pull together. Bellies were full.
Score!
(This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Jimmy Dean, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #RedboxBreakfast http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.)
I found these red boxes of Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sandwiches at Walmart. I love that the sandwiches themselves are airtight sealed.
There are microwave instructions on the back of the box, but I hate cooking stuff in the microwave. I always feel like it leaves the food texture kind of weird, specifically breads.
So, I lined a cookie sheet with parchment paper for easier clean up and placed the sandwiches on the cookie sheet.
I cooked them for 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
While that was cooking I cut up some strawberries and toss them in a dish.
I added some delicious grapes.
I poured up glasses of milk.
When they came out of the oven this is how they looked.
My kids really enjoyed them. And they paired perfectly with the fruit and milk.
For my kids who did not want the sausage, that was easy to remove for someone else to enjoy.
These are also perfect if you’re running out the door. You can easily eat one in the car.
This makes the perfect easy breakfast and there was no cleanup. Toss the parchment paper and the sandwich packaging and we’re done.
Have you given any of these Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches or croissants a try? They all look yummy. Next I want to try the egg and pepper jack cheese croissant. Those look yummy!
