Today marks day ten of Elf on the Shelf at our house. I am sharing a new idea with you each day if you’re interested in participating in this fun tradition with your kids this year.
We are having so much fun with this little guy. Every day is a new surprise and we find him doing the funniest things.
My little boys wake up each morning eager to find Elf.
Never forget to move the elf again!

This morning we found him wearing one of the crowns we made earlier this week as we are doing the Truth in the Tinsel Advent Activity for Little Hands.
The book contains 24 Christmas activities that go with a Bible story.
My cousin has come over each day and worked on these projects with us. They are so much fun. (She has no children and was super eager to assist with I showed her the book.)
We have made candle ornaments for our tree to remind us not to live in darkness.
We’ve made crowns to remind us that Jesus is the King of Kings.
We made little faces to represent Zechariah to remind us that God’s word is His word.
And today we made an angel to represent Gabriel who came to Mary to tell her she would give birth to Jesus.
As we finish an ornament, we add it to our Christmas tree.
Today I wanted to remind my kids that no matter how fun Elf on the Shelf is, Jesus is the Reason for the Season. If you’re doing Truth in the Tinsel this season and Elf on the Shelf I encourage you to find a way to incorporate the two one day. My boys thought it was too cool that Elf was wearing one of the crowns they made.
