Last week the folks at Great Wolf Lodge invited our family to their Grapevine facility for a sneak peek of the latest activities they have added to their family water park. Every few years they like to add new amenities to give the families who come back over and over again new things to experience.
There are eleven facilities all over the US and we are lucky to have one here in DFW area.
The lodge not only has an 84 degree indoor family water park that is open year-round, but it is also a hotel with just about every luxury available that you can imagine.
The facility is just gorgeous.
We started our visit by reacquainting ourselves with Wiley and Violet. We met them back in December when we had a family overnight stay.
GWL has now added Wake up with Wiley and Friends Character Breakfast.
My kids fell in love with this cool robot ice cream machine.
There is a digital screen where you pick your flavors and toppings. Then, you watch as the robot arm creates your tasty treat. I think this has been there a while although we did not see it on our trip back in December.
The Grapevine location has added a Howlywood 4-D Theater. Way cool.
Perfect for the entire family as well as the tweens and teens looking for something to do as a group.
Lazer tag at our house means one thing….. AWESOMENESS! But I have all boys…
The Grapevine location has added a Lazer Frenzy.
They have also have added some new attractions inside their already existing Northern Lights Arcade.
After we took a tour of the new updates, we headed to the water park for a day of play.
Here is a look at the kiddy area which was perfect for entertaining Matthew. He loved this small kiddy slide.
He also had a blast on the sitting toys inside the kiddy area as well.
There are so many play areas within the water park I honestly lost count. I think there are six or seven different pools. There is endless fun for the entire family.
You do want to keep a close eye on the little ones- I suggest using their complimentary life jackets. If you have brave or fearless kids like I do, it can just take a second for them to attempt at wandering away to another pool.
During the warmer months the outdoor pool is also a hopping place.
I hope to go back soon and take picture offering you guys a more inclusive tour of their facility here in North Texas. It really is an enchanting family experience.
