Letter of the Week Snack: H is for Heart
Hi, everyone! Welcome back to our weekly Letter of the Week snack idea for preschool and school aged children. Every week we are sharing a new and unique snack idea that will help introduce or reinforce letters with your younger children.
Are your kids just starting to learn the alphabet? Why not make them a snack that will help them recognize the new letter they are learning with our letter of the week ideas? You could even coordinate with the preschool class and take snacks in that will help the teacher that day.
Today is the letter H and we have a yummy snack idea for you. My boys actually came up with this one and I decided to make it into a letter of the week snack. The Letter H is for Heart, actually a heart-shaped waffle sandwich with a Reese’s in the middle. What a great way to learn the letter H!
Materials you will need
- Waffles
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- Heart shaped cookie cutter
Letter of the Week Step by Step Tutorial:
Step 1 – Toast your waffles in the toaster
Step 2 – Use your heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out your heart shapes in the waffle
Step 3 – Squish your Reese’s peanut butter cut between the waffles while it is still hot so that it will melt or stick it in the microwave for 10 seconds
Step 4 – Enjoy this yummy Waffle sandwich with Reese’s peanut butter cups
I hope you have enjoyed this H is for Heart letter of the week preschool snack as much as my boys have!
