A Makeshift Dust Pan

Sharing is caring!

Have you misplaced your dust pan?

Maybe your dust pan is broken?

Here is how to create a makeshift dust pan with a piece of paper and some water.

1) Run water on the edge of one side of a sheet of paper.

2) Place the sheet of paper on the floor next to your trash pile, wet side down, and press the wet edge against the floor to make it stick.

3) Sweep your trash onto the paper.
4) Pick up the paper and toss it- you’re all done!
How simple is that?
Have you ever had to use a makeshift dust pan?  How did you do it?

I've used dry paper before, but it never REALLY works. Wetting the edge is a great idea!

  5. Funny! I have used wet paper towel before. Never thought to use paper. Thanks for the demo. 🙂

So glad you guys found this helpful. I remember my mom doing this all the time when I was a kid.

Now, my kids run off with my dust pan and I've done it far too often! 🙂

Glad the trash pile did not make you run! (How about that chicken nugget?)
