Nutella Hazelnut Spread- It’s a Party

Sharing is caring!

We’ve been eating Nutella at our house for a while. My kid’s  like it on a sandwich with peanut butter instead of jelly. They also like it spread over their waffles instead of syrup, or smeared on a piece of toast.

Have you ever seen Nutella at the store? It is located on the peanut butter aisle. It is chocolatey looking. Did you know that keeping Nutella on hand is an easy way to provide a balanced breakfast for your family? On busy school mornings, a balanced breakfast is essential. Spread Nutella on a slice of whole wheat toast, a multi-grain waffle or over an English muffin and add a side of fresh fruit and a glass of milk and you have a balanced breakfast that took only minutes to make.

About Nutella

Nutella does not contain peanuts or peanut ingredients nor does it come in contact with peanuts during manufacturing.

Nutella is gluten free and is also a Kosher product.

Each 13.5 ounce jar contains over 50 hazelnuts! It has a hint of cocoa and is made with skim milk.

Our Nutella Party

We all know breakfast is the fuel that starts our day. We’ve heard for years not to skip this meal and to eat a balanced breakfast each morning. Yet, many of us just do not make it happen.

I gathered a group of ten women. Some work full time jobs outside of the home and all of their children are grown.  Many of the women are still raising children and need to prepare breakfast each morning before everyone is off to school.

No matter which of the two categories, each woman is busy- we all know that.  But there were two things I really wanted to know.

 1) What does a typical breakfast look like at your house on a school/work morning?

2) What keeps your kids (or yourself) from eating breakfast each morning?

The top two reasons for not eating were time and not being able to get our children to eat so early in the morning. We know they need it. We offer breakfast, but more times than not they just do not eat it.

Everyone sampled and enjoyed. When spread on tortillas with dried cranberries and rolled up made an easy snack. We covered bagels and coupled with yogurt and a glass of orange juice. Each guest left with a nice Nutella swag bag that included a sample they could take home and share with their family, as well as recipes and a coupon and other things to enjoy.

Verdict

People liked it. They left with lots of ideas and seemed excited and willing to share the product with their families and see if it makes breakfast easier to prepare and more enticing for their children to eat.

Is Nutella a mommy solution? Yes!

  3. I’ve never tried Nutella before. However, I typically have a bagel thin with peanut butter for breakfast on MWF. So, I may switch to this just to try it once.

  4. I’ve tried it and love it! I don’t have it in my house and have no idea why. Just added it to my shopping list.

Sounds delicious! I’ve had Nutella in restaurants but never at home. Shame on me, I’m going to pick some up next time I go to the store, thanks!

I can’t quite figure out how so many Europeans eat this daily and are so thin! Maybe they don’t eat it by the spoonful all day long????

  7. Shanaka @ Mama Bee Does says:

I can’t have peanut butter so Im a soy butter user. I’ve never given Nutella a second glance on the shelf. Now I think I’ll give it a try.

  8. We were introduced to Nutella a million years ago by our first German Exchange Student – it had yet to come to the states and we were in LOVE!! I slice a banana in the middle and kind of squeeze it open. Then, fill the slice with peanut butter and nutella. OH MY it is yummy!
