An alternative to traditional tacos is to use avocados instead of taco shells. I am in love! The combination is amazing!

Let me show you how easy it is to also take these taco stuffed avocados and use them to host your friends for an adult night in!

I love how versatile avocados are and can be used to make delicious dinners or party foods!

We are using Avocados From Mexico, TABASCO® Sauce and RITAS for our fun adult night in. We have partnered with these three brands to bring you an exciting recipe that is perfect for your next party or celebration.

Avocados From Mexico are always worth it because they’re healthy, delicious, and always in season.

Invite your couple friends over and enjoy time together.

Ingredients:

  • 8 Avocados From Mexico
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pkt taco seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • toppings for your stuffed avocados (cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, sour cream)
  • TABASCO® Sauce

Other Items:

  • RITAS
  • fruits for snacking
  • chips
  • dips

This is such a quick and easy celebration food to create.

In a skillet, over medium high heat, add your olive oil, onion and garlic.

Once the onions are translucent, add the ground beef. (You could use ground turkey if you prefer that.)

About half way through cooking is when I like to add my taco seasoning. Just sprinkle it evenly over the meat and combine well. If you prefer to only use chili powder you can do that as well. You will need about 2-3 tablespoons.

Once the meat it done it is time to cut your avocados.

Slice each avocado in half and open them up.

Carefully remove the pit.

Use a large spoon to scoop some of the avocado out to make a but of a well.

You can save the removed avocado into a small bowl and mash it up so you can dip with chips.

When you’re inviting friends over for the taco stuffed avocado bar, you can let them stuff their own if you want. Or you can pre-fill the avocado halves with your taco meat.

You now want to top with cheese, tomatoes, bell peppers, lettuce and sour cream.

This next step is my favorite…. shake a few shakes of TABASCO® Sauce over each stuffed avocado.

Just pour this on my food makes my mouth water. I grew up putting TABASCO® Sauce on everything! It adds a little spice and excitement to every meal! (I also add it to my scrambled eggs, omelettes, a pot of beans, etc. I LOVE it!)

Add a little of add a lot.

I chose a lot, personally!

I love that TABASCO® Sauce is made from simple ingredients.

Look at how amazing this is! Oh, it was so tasty!

.

We set everything up on a table in our dining room so everyone had access to everything they needed in one place for stuffing their avocado.

This is where we also had fruit and chips for sides.

We enjoyed the fruity, fizzy and fun RITAS and they were also easy to grab on our buffet line.

Since we were having a taco inspired night, we thought the Lime-A-Rita’s were the perfect choice. They paired perfectly.

They were cold and refreshing as we had stored them in the fridge for 24 hours before the get together.

Oh man, these were good. They make a great weeknight dinner as well and I love that Avocados from Mexico are available year round!

Savor the flavor!

And we will make these again for sure!
