Thanksgiving Feast Necklace for Little Ones

Sharing is caring!

These necklaces are so adorable!

The twins made them this week at school for their Thanksgiving Feast and I wanted to share them with you guys. Such an easy craft you could do with your little ones just in time for Thanksgiving dinner!

Thanksgiving Feast Necklace

You’ll need:

  • strip of leather
  • a straw cut into pieces
  • 15-20 craft beads (festive colors)
  • a feather
  • sandpaper (cut into the shape of a triangle to resemble a spear)
  • a hole punch
  • small piece of masking tape

Place beads and straw pieces on both sides of the sandpaper spear.
Hole punch the top of the triangular shaped sandpaper piece and then feed the sandpaper piece through the leather strip.
Next, feed the cut up straw pieces and craft beads onto the leather strip as pictured above.
Then, tie the top of the necklace pieces together.
Last, feed the feather through the hole punch already in the triangle sandpaper and cover the stem of the feather with a piece of tape like pictured below.
Back of the sandpaper where feather stem is taped down.

And you’re done! It won’t take long and your kids can do most of the craft by themselves! Make one for everyone to wear at your feast!

  3. What a clever idea. I'm not very crafty, but I think I could handle this one. Great way to curb the kids Thanksgiving afternoon boredom.
